Validation and modern IT: Challenge or Chance?<\/h3>

IT systems are making enormous advances in functionality and automation. Companies are leveraging modern technologies such as cloud-based Software-as-a-Service, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain.<\/p>

In parallel, IT management systems and software development paradigms have evolved, as traditional approaches no longer meet the requirements of modern systems.<\/p>

Regulatory authorities, auditors, and quality managers are aware of these developments and are updating their frameworks or developing new ones. Two notable examples are the 2nd edition of GAMP 5 and the FDA’s CSA approach.<\/p>

Validation must maintain its primary goal of ensuring the correct and compliant operation of critical IT systems in this changing environment.<\/p>
